Your wheelchair will arrive almost fully assembled. You will need to attach a few remaining parts.
Q2: Can my wheelchair go on an airplane or cruise?
Yes. The 12AH (288WH) lithium-ion battery is approved for most major airlines and cruise lines. Contact your airline or cruise line beforehand to confirm their travel battery regulations.
Q3: I’ve run out of battery. Can I push my chair?
Yes. The 6011 wheelchair can function as a manual wheelchair. Turn the power off, then disengage the brake by pulling the levers to the unlocked position to enable free-wheel mode.
Q4: Can I silence the beeping sound my wheelchair makes while reversing?
Yes. Press the (+) key on the controller until you reach the top speed, then hold the button down until the amber light appears. Press the horn button quickly, and the beeping will stop. Repeat these steps to restore the beeping sound.
Q5: Does the armrest raise?
No.
Q6: How do I charge the battery?
The lithium-ion battery charges through the joystick controller. It takes 6-8 hours to charge an empty battery, and less if partially charged. Once fully charged, unplug the charger from both the battery and the power outlet.
Q7: Can I install my controller on either side of the wheelchair?
Yes. The controller is initially set up on the right side but can be moved to the left side easily.
Q8: Does my wheelchair come with a warranty?
Yes. The 6011 wheelchair comes with a 3-year frame warranty, and 1-year warranty on the motor, battery, and electronic parts.
Q9: Can I use my wheelchair on dirt and grass?
Yes. The 6011 can handle low grass and compacted dirt without issue.
