We've designed the So Lite Scooter specifically to be ultra lightweight. Fully assembled and ready to go, the So Lite Scooter weighs in at 44.5 lbs (with battery).

The So Lite Scooter easily folds down to a reasonable 39" L x 21" W x 17" H, making it perfect for sliding into the backseat or trunk of most vehicles.

No. The So Lite Scooter arrives completely assembled. You simply unfold it upon arrival using the following steps:

  1. Unfold the scooter: Set the scooter with all its wheels on the ground. Then loosen the tiller adjuster knob and lift the tiller into an upright position. Re-tighten the tiller adjuster knob.
  2. Unfold the seat: Lift up the seatback into the driving position. You should hear and feel the fold knob click into place.

Yes! It's specifically designed to be incredibly easy to fold, which makes the So Lite Scooter a breeze to transport wherever you may want to go—or store as needed.

The So Lite Scooter features electronic brakes that will automatically engage when your scooter comes to a stop.

Folding the So Lite Scooter is simple! Just pull out the fold knob and gently lower the seatback. Then loosen the tiller adjuster knob and lower the tiller into the folded position.

The scooter's battery can easily be charged by plugging directly into the port on the handlebars. You can also remove the battery to charge it if preferred.

Depending on usage (travel speed, user weight, etc.), the So Lite Scooter's battery will last up to eight miles of use.

Charging can take up to six hours or less, depending on the level of power already used. Most owners rarely run the battery all the way down in a single day.

Specific additional limitations and extensions of warranty, particularly relating to the Journey Health & Lifestyle® line of mobility products, can be found in the Addendum below.

If any component or part is proven defective within the twelve-month warranty period, the product shall be repaired or replaced at the option of Journey Health & Lifestyle®. Contact Journey Health & Lifestyle® before sending any product for warranty repair or replacement. Do not send any product without prior written consent.

Limitations and Exclusions

This warranty does not cover damage, deterioration, or malfunction resulting from:

  • Accident, negligence, misuse, or abuse
  • Normal wear and tear
  • Damage in shipment
  • Improper operation or failure to follow instructions according to the User Manual
  • Component failure or improper storage
  • Neglect of prescribed maintenance procedures
  • Repair or attempted repair or modifications made by anyone other than Journey Health & Lifestyle®
  • Normal gradual reduction in battery performance due to heavy use
  • Deterioration from external factors such as extremes in temperature or humidity, corrosive atmosphere, or natural events (e.g., lightning, flood)

This warranty applies in North America only and is extended to the original purchaser of the product when purchased directly from Journey Health & Lifestyle® (USA). It is nontransferable. This warranty gives you specific legal rights, and you may also have other legal rights that vary from place to place.

Exclusive Warranty Terms

The foregoing warranty is exclusive and in lieu of all other express or implied warranties, including but not limited to the implied warranties of merchantability and fitness for a particular purpose. It shall not extend beyond the duration of the express warranty provided herein. Journey Health & Lifestyle® shall not be liable for any consequential or incidental damages whatsoever and disclaims any liability beyond the initial purchase price of the product.

Addendum

In addition to the previously cited provisions and limitations, other warranty considerations for the line of Journey Health & Lifestyle® mobility products (Zinger, Zoomer, Zoomer Lite, Perfect Walker, So Lite Wheelchair, So Lite Scooter, So Lite Glide, all UPWalkers) include the following extensions and exclusions:

  • The frame, mechanical, and electrical components, including the motor of each mobility product, are warrantied for the same twelve-month period.
  • The originally supplied battery, tires, fabric seat, seat back, and seat cushion are warrantied for a six (6) month period from the original purchase date.

If any component or part is proven defective within the warranty period, the product shall be repaired or replaced at the option of Journey Health & Lifestyle® with new or refurbished components. An installation kit with instructions may be provided for replacement components, but warranty does not include any labor charges incurred in product component installation. The warranty period for repaired or replaced products shall terminate with the original product's warranty period.

Additional Warranty Considerations

  • UPbed Standard: One-year service with full coverage on parts (including labor), two-to-three years on parts (no labor), and four-to-ten years on the bed frame and non-electric mechanisms.
  • UPbed Independence: Two years on components and ten years on the bed frame.
  • Lift Chair Line: Lifetime warranty on the lift mechanism and frame, and a three-year warranty on electronic components.
  • PSC: Lifetime limited warranty on the lift mechanism and frame, and three years on electronic components.
